My counted cross-stitch table runner project

counted cross stitch table runner

Here is my latest work still in progress. A handmade table runner about 40 inches long and 16 inches wide. The embroidery technique I used to create it is counted cross-stitch. I hope you like the pattern and the colors of the threads that I' ve used. I need to do a little (actually a lot of) needlace work and create a nice lace to put around it. I' ll show you the final result soon! Meanwhile take a closer look at some details of the pattern.

So do you like it? Do you like counted cross stitch technique? If you do like this technique and want to share your work you can send me an email with images of your creations and a small description right here!

Table runner canvas work (needlepoint) with silver lace and glass beads

Since we are on the beadage, I present you another table runner that I' ve  made, this time using a black canvas (needlepoint) and of course beads. The pattern on the canvas is made using dark gold thread and silver glass beads (approx. 3.000 beads!), following a counted technique. The outline of the design is decorated with four silver laces that form two beautiful braids.

Here is a close up of the beads

and here is one of the braids

Table runner needle-lace

Showing you one of the first table runners that I've made. It is made of a two-colors lace (dark gold and silver), close-stitched together with corresponding dark gold and silver threads.

I hope you like it.
